Truman State Fraternity Life
Since 1914, fraternity and sorority life has been supported at Truman State University. And since then, each year nearly 20% of the student body is a member of one of 18 unique fraternities/sororities. In a community brought together by the values of integrity, leadership, and growth, members are proud of the community they belong to and look for ways to continually make it better.
Formal Recruitment
At Truman, Recruitment is a formal process that lasts for one week. The Recruitment Assembly, hosted by the Interfraternity Council, will take place the day before formal events start, and rushees will be given the opportunity to hear from the various fraternities throughout campus and get to know them better. The next day, and for several days at the beginning of recruitment week, are open invite events where all rushees are allowed to explore the fraternities.
If you are not sure whether Greek Life is for you, there is no obligation to join a fraternity at the end of recruitment week. If you are interested in learning more click the Recruitment Tab or contact the IFC VP of Recruitment.
