Since its founding in 1921, the Beta Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma has taken pride in its rich and unique tradition. Sig Tau is always looking for new members to join in this tradition of brotherhood and leadership that has continued for over 100 years on Truman’s campus.

There are many reasons why Sigma Tau Gamma has thrived for longer than any other social fraternity. To put it simply, the brotherhood of Sigma Tau Gamma lasts a lifetime. For this reason, we have tremendous alumni support from the many brothers who have come before us. Our alumni have established three separate foundations which reward our chapter’s members with generous scholarships. Sig Taus also contribute to the university, which is why McClain Hall, Ryle Hall and Violette Hall all have the name of a Sig Tau alumnus.

Sig Taus not only devote themselves to their fraternity, but also to every aspect of Greek, campus, and community life. Our members are involved in many other campus organizations which provide great opportunities for networking and involvement. We give back to the community through our philanthropy efforts every semester.
Our fraternity is much more than what you can read about us. From the outside, it is impossible to understand, and from the inside, it is impossible to explain. The best way to get to know our brotherhood is to experience it firsthand. If you are searching for the complete fraternity, look no further than Sigma Tau Gamma.
