The Truman State Chapter of Delta Chi has been a staple at Truman State University since our local chartering nearly 50 years ago. With a beautiful chapter house located behind Centennial Hall, a basketball court, and a newly renovated event space named “Kimballs,” Delta Chi’s property is enough to make an outstanding home away from home for our undergraduate members. Delta Chi, however, takes pride in more than just physical amenities. Our chapter strives to Promote Friendship, Develop Character, Advance Justice, and Assist in the Acquisition of a Sound Education. Numerous campus awards, including brotherhood of the year, outstanding community relations, outstanding academics, excellence in risk management, and IFC chapter of the year, as well as awards from our national organization, including six consecutive President’s Cups (the highest award that a Delta Chi chapter can receive), and two consecutive North American Interfraternity Conference Chapter Awards of Distinction prove that our members strive for excellence in every way. Although we are incredibly proud of these achievements, our Chapter prides itself most on the friendships created within our tightly knit fraternity. The chapter is an extremely diverse group of fraternity men whose various interests and activities create an excellent melting pot. An enormous number of opportunities are available for those who wish to take an active role in the fraternity and other organizations, with nearly 100% of our members holding positions in organizations across campus, with 17% of our members being involved in athletics. Our chapter prides itself on holding an average GPA well above the all-men’s average at Truman. Delta Chi’s national philanthropy is the V Foundation for Cancer Research, which is named after the iconic college basketball coach Jim Valvano, and is dedicated to raising money for cancer research to achieve ‘Victory over Cancer’. Our chapter is continually striving to raise funds for the V Foundation and hosts numerous philanthropy events to support this organization. Above all else, the experiences and fun our members obtain are the most important advantages gained from being a Delta Chi. Feel free to contact us if you are interested in joining the brotherhood of a lifetime!

Chapter President: Cole Schniedermeyer

Cole Schniedermeyer is a Psychology major with minors in Statistics and Disability Studies from St. Louis. Cole is a member of Delta Chi. When asked why he wanted to join the IFC community, Cole said, “I initially joined for the brotherhood that I knew would stay with me throughout my life. While that has remained a huge reason, as I became more involved within my fraternity and the IFC community, I realized an even bigger reason was to surround myself with men of character. These men challenge and support me to constantly work to become the best man I can be—academically, as a leader, and in my future career. Joining Delta Chi and the IFC community at Truman has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.”
