Sigma Phi Epsilon

The Truman State University Missouri Mu Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded in 1981. SigEp is a balanced fraternity. We are dedicated to making the fraternity experience relevant to today’s college students. We love the social benefits, but also recognize that college is a time to achieve our own unique goals. With brotherhood behind us, our own personal aspirations become much easier to attain.

Missouri MU is comprised of 50+ quality and diverse members. We are philanthropists, athletes, pre-med students, classically trained musicians, members of student government, ROTC Cadets, and officers on the Inter-Fraternity Council. Our brothers are involved in over 25 other organizations on campus. We boast a cumulative chapter GPA of 3.44 and have had the highest new member class GPA among fraternities the past two semesters. Since arriving on campus in 1981 we have claimed the title of Intramural Champions sixteen times, including the 2009-2010 season, a tradition that is sure to continue.

Our fraternity rounds out the Truman State experience by fostering personal development and the bonds of brotherhood. Our guiding principles: Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love.

Chapter President: Jackson Budzinski

Jackson Budzinski is a Mathematics and Statistics major with a minor in Actuarial Science. Jackson is a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

When asked about his journey into the IFC community, Jackson said, “When I first arrived at Truman State, I was worried about finding a group where I truly belonged and what opportunities existed to meet people I could connect with. I turned to Truman’s IFC community as a possibility for that belonging, and what I found was a group of like-minded individuals who push me to be my best in all aspects of life—whether academic, social, or professional. Being a part of Truman’s IFC is an experience like no other; I am proud to be a member and attribute much of my development throughout my college career to this community.”
